Gather Together – Ngukuthati
The featured artwork, Ngukuthati, was created by contemporary Indigenous artist Jesse Sutton, a proud member of the Kalkadoon people from Mount Isa in Queensland. Ngukuthati translates to "Gather Together" in the Kalkadoon language and celebrates the timeless tradition of gathering at special meeting places—a practice that has been central to Jesse’s people for thousands of years.
In the design, footprints represent individuals from diverse communities coming together to share stories, celebrate culture, and strengthen connections. This artwork reflects the enduring importance of unity and collaboration across generations, honoring the spirit of gathering that lies at the heart of Indigenous culture.
